I finally managed to complete watching the series for Once Upon A Time. I started watching it in Netflix for about 5 seasons until DD cancelled the subscription due to the copyrights issues that USA side had.
Using VPN helped. So, when USA started to clam down, we cancelled the subscription and I was left bereaved from watching and not knowing what happened after Season 5 when Emma turned into the Dark One.
So, when DD signed up for the free trial, the first few series and movies that I needed to catch up was with Once Upon a Time and Grimm. I have read books and fairy tales were part of my staples for enduring the school holidays. So, I have the beloved Belle from Beauty and The Beast, Snow White and The Seven Dwarves and many others.
I’m so glad that the Singapore side has included Lucifer, Grimm and Once Upon A Time. I do want to watch finish Beauty and The Beast though. It is unfortunately not included. I hope to finish those series before the trial ends. Not quite sure if S$17/mth for 4 concurrent connections is worth paying since it will be just me and DD watching.
So, I have loved watching Once Upon A Time, I was rather put off at first by Season 7’s plot. After a while, I guess Henry Mills did needed his subsequent story going since he was the one who got Emma into Storybrooke in the first place. There has to be some sort of conclusion for him since he was a regular in all the episodes.
I’m glad that by Season 7, they did have a proper closure for Emma and Hook. Season 7 isn’t my favourite season but it did give closure for the characters and I have grown to like the adult Henry Mills. Probably part of the reason is that he is good looking. I guess part of my teenage hormones is still in me.
I like how they portray Cinderella in this Season though, a gutsy kickass kind of girl who doesn’t mind breaking a few fingernails to knock down those villains. The one character that I didn’t get was Facilier. He was the witch doctor and I don’t quite remember reading about this fellow. Rumpelstiltskin was quite a character with all the twists and turns that he had. He was all about trying to combine both power and love and in the end, I’m glad that he did something right.
Once Upon A Time gave me something to look for and the final episodes did made me cry. A reason not to watch it on the bus.
